Ipoh Mari!!! (part I)

When talk about Ipoh, the first few things must be related to eat, eat and eat…., out of that may be saying that is the place that “producing” pretty girls in Malaysia (as well known that the girl from Ipoh are quite frequent to be the top listed in Miss Malaysia pageants…). Well, Ipoh is the capital of Perak State located at the middle-north, at the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. She is a city at the valley surrounded by mountains.

Previously, the people of Ipoh was actively involved in the tin mining industry, and dredging is the method used heavily at Ipoh, as a result, there are several man-made lakes held around Ipoh region. Now a day, the lakes are no longer in used for tin mining, but, they become some of the nice scenery at Ipoh area…here are two man-made lake is the nice way for photographing…

Warisan Kapal Korek (Tin Dredge Heritage):

~ located at Chenderong, Batu Gajah, driving towards south from Ipoh, the whole mining area is become a “museum” that the tin dredge ship was still remain on the man-made lake. By walking into the ship, you can see how the setups, and the old machines used for mining is, the “old metallic” feel seems pretty cool for some sort of the “Emo” portrait photo shooting. In the other way round, the dredging ship and the man-made lake is surrounded by the green paddy field, is quite fantastic the matching of the metallic ship in the green natural landscape.

outside of the dredging ship

in the sun flare...

growing grasses...

this is how the ship floating on the lake...

the front view & the "spot light"??
the old deoxidization materials

in the ship...looks some old, messy metallic place...

some of the colorful wall in the ship...& the old bearing...

the layers of the color looks pretty cool in the ship...& the right side is the reflection on the lake's surface...

here you are...the nice "metallic" feel
