Portraiture with Shirlyn, Aise & Ice-cream

One if the unforgettable August outing is 3 models in 1 one outing for the portraiture, and of cause there were about 12 photographers in this event invited by John…sounds cool….by default, John select the rail way station at Prai, I was so excited as there would be a great challenge as the place is quite artistic and low light, that is more to learn about lighting…but finally was changed back to Penang Heritage area…well, is ok, may be the destination reserve for next time….

Well, this time, most of the photographers are John’s friends and there is quite a big group in one outing…while waiting for the model arrive, we have a chat with John and try to know more about the info of the area we may cover, about the models invited…the Models came in a Myvi, of cause we will have a quick “scanning” on those models to find the nice angle of each models and start drafting the way to snap.

We were breaking into 3 groups where each group will have about half an hour with each model and will exchange among the group to snap for the next model. Our group consists of me, Leo, Jackie and John to start the session with Aise. At the beginning Aise told us in advance that she doesn’t have experience for modeling in photographing and need our guidance for posing, well, that may be another challenge to me trying on posing the model as I seldom try before…for Aise, she is more to a mature lady, while that day she dress quite sharp with white on top match with a dark green khaki jeans, I was set in my mind to have some full body shots in stead of close up portrait to bring out some modern fashion feel in contrast with the heritage, and this idea was inspired from the fashion magazine where “fashion is all about extreme”…hehe…since at the beginning, no one having an idea to shoot, I just simply take up the opportunity to pose the model and so lucky we have some heritage wall to make a clear contrast, as I told Aise that she got to pose as the fashion model to sell the jeans and shirt, and of cause we are quite excited with the feeling of the result. The second session was with Shirlyn, she had quite a number of shots telling you with her body language that she is cute and funny girl, but due to my liking and the warming up had done at the first session, I really want the “fashion” feel in this series of shooting, so, I try to suggest some idea for her to pose in more fashionable style by not ignoring the “funny” of hers…in between I had discuss with her to have some actions like the TV commercials and of cause, her boy friend also a funny guy, and even have some action examples on the poses we suggest to make whole session more fun!

Finally, the session comes to Ice-cream…I think she is familiar in modeling as she can easily get the pose and quite natural, she is really gorgeous and hot in combine to bring out the fashion feel, what in my mind about her posing is “speechless”…phewwww…she really got he talent in modeling and of cause hope to see her become a shining star in future…
