Wedding, Portraiture, Product photography....& travelling.....
wherever i go, whoever i meet, whatever i see...as long as interesting, i will turn up the shutter to snap it into my memory
An outing created by P.U.A.S member Tze Hooi, brought us to her hometown Taiping…. Early in the morning we met at Juru Autocity to have a quick breakfast to gather all the members as we hardly get that big group for outing lately as that morning had total of 11 members to join this event. After the breakfast, we were heading to Taiping and the 1st destination of the day was charcoal factory at Kuala Sepatang. There is the place that a local famous drama in NTV7 (CharcoalVillage) has been captured.
Base on the info from the person in charge of the factory, Mr Chua said that until his generation is the 2nd generation to run this business, and now a day they are mostly exporting the charcoal to Japan and Korea due to the quality of the charcoal. He did introduce a little bit about the making of the charcoal, and he also very welcome us to have photo shooting inside the factory, as he told us this factory became one of the hot spot for photographing as the travel journalist photographer has post some of the shots in travel magazine, and he was not hesitate to share some of the photos that the photographer sent him, it is really amazing, as a very simple tool also can be a main artistic subject in the scene shot.
The photo shooting at the charcoal factory is quite challenging as most of the color are dark…a little mono…and it was really depending on the sun shine which illustrated in to the factory to light up the “classic” feel of the factory…..even the noise level is a bit high when shooting at higher ISO at 400, but I just feel that the noise level instead is really help to bring up the feel that I like which the color in the edge of mono and vivid…well it is base on my personal liking…
