Before i went for my business trip to our company's Harrow head quarter, I had plan the weekend before and after my working day of the week to go around London for site seeing, enjoy the food and beverage. As the coffee lover, my colleague recommend me a gourmet coffee shop at London which one of their barista used to win the World Barista Championship ~ the Prufrock Cafe.
The Prufrock cafe staying at Leather Lane at Holborn, London. By taking the Central tube train and exit at the Chancery Lane station, the Leather Lane is at the opposite of the HSBC bank, which has a short walking street to the driving lane, the Prufrock cafe is staying at the left side after passing by the junction of the Dorrington St.
You might really need to see carefully as the entrance of the cafe is designed to be quite simple and pretty hard to catch you attention. While the day was my last day at London for the trip, and i decided to spend my own time to taste what my colleague suggested (highly recommended). That day was Sunday, and i am so lucky to have sunshine day in London as it was just changing season from Spring to Summer at the early May!!
As usual, when the first time i attended the coffee shop, normally i will try their cappuccino, this is the most basic way to try out the taste of their house blended/roasting bean as well as the barista skill (grind, brewing, milk foam steaming and of cause the art on the coffee (latte art). Well, this time is a heart shape! By the way, i did purchase a bag of their house blend called "Red Brick" as a small reward to share with my colleague when i back into Penang office.
The cafe design is simple and mostly wooden, and more like a workshop for conducting the coffee lesson.
Oops!! 10000 hours for conducting training for Baristas!!! Cool!!!
Here's the rack that displaying the hand drip coffee tools and of cause the Recognition of Speciality Coffee of Europe, and also the award winning.
It is really worth to try, for my own perspective, here's the place that i tasted the best coffee in London (finally) since the day i touch down to this world city!!
