Since the day one I know about Cheong Sam (is called “qi pao” 旗袍 in Chinese), it is a kind of traditional dress of the Chinese ethnic to
bring out the beauty of the Chinese lady… well, it used to be the official
dress for each year Miss Hong Kong pageant. Although now a day peoples are not
always dressing their traditional dress all the day, but this pretty Cheong Sam
is always exist to be one of the chosen dress for the celebrities as this kind
of dress really showing the good bodyline of the lady, and the rich color of
the Cheong Sam is one of the attraction of sign, the cutting of the dress is
showing the sexiness of the lady who dare to wear the dress…
During the Chinese New Year festival, Cheong Sam become the hit dress as
well as the “must” dress in the CNY, in Malaysia, Cheong Sam is one of the heat
buying fashion in lady’s fashion market… this album is the portraiture outing
snapped before the CNY at the famous Kek Lok Shi temple in Air Itam, Penang
Malaysia. The four models Yi Jing, Helen, Racheal and Rue Wen were well bringing
out the mood of Chinese New Year with the modernized design of the Cheong Sam.
With the traditional dress, they are giving me a concept about the cover of the
Chinese novel. This is the very first Cheong Sam shooting I done, from the beginning
until the end, the most challenge is how to really magnifying the traditional
beauty but not forgetting the festival greeting mood in overall album.
